Sea Foam Partners with PowerNation TV for Truck Giveaway
MINNEAPOLIS, May 2019—Sea Foam Sales Company has teamed up with PowerNation TV’s Truck Tech to build a custom vehicle that will be given away to one lucky viewer.
Up for grabs is a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado double cab that the Truck Tech crew has already been hard at work modifying. It’s lifted 8 inches with a coil-over suspension system and rides on 35-inch tall tires for an aggressive look that will still function great, both in the dirt and on the highways.
The 5.3 liter V8 is equipped with a Magnuson TVS1900 supercharger, performance exhaust system, several exterior appearance modifications, and more.
Though the truck will definitely turn heads, its upgrades aren’t just for show—usability was a key factor in both choosing the truck and what modifications to incorporate.
“We wanted to build what some might consider to be an “attainable dream truck,” said Truck Tech host Lawrence “LT” Tolman. “In other words, we’ll outfit it with some of the best aftermarket products to improve its function, performance, and looks, and we think it will appeal to any truck owner.”
The goal, Tolman said, is to build a vehicle that has a broad appeal, regardless of brand loyalty. And Sea Foam was adamant about building a truck that wouldn’t just be a show piece, but instead could be driven regularly—and parked in a standard garage.
The truck’s gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine also makes it a great candidate to showcase two Sea Foam products. Sea Foam Spray applied through the air intake effectively cuts carbon buildup on intake valves that is common in GDI engines and Sea Foam Motor Treatment added to fuel works to clean fuel injectors.
As GDI vehicles have become more prevalent, demand for Sea Foam Spray and Motor Treatment has grown—to the point where Advance Auto Parts suggested offering both in a 2-in-1 package. That new combo pack was just launched in conjunction with the Truck Tech Sweepstakes.
“Sea Foam product sales continue to increase significantly as more GDI cars and trucks are coming out of warranty,” says Brian Miller, marketing director at Sea Foam Sales Company. “Advance Auto Parts noticed the same thing and came up with the idea to offer an easy product solution to the GDI problem.”
