Adding Sea Foam to a used motorcycle [SOLVED]
I bought a used motorcycle. The previous owner suggested using Sea Foam in the 5-6 gallon gas tank. He said to use an ounce of Sea Foam per gallon. Is that too much? What is your recommendation?
Hi Michael. The more Sea Foam you add to fuel (higher concentration), the better and faster it works to clean the fuel system and restore engine performance. At least one time per year I would add a full can to a low tank of fuel and operate as typical. For ongoing fuel maintenance I would add one or two ounces per gallon. No matter, I always add when the tank is low and run a bit before adding more fuel. It’s also importnat to note that Sea Foam is made with 1005 petroleum cleaning and lubricating oils – always safe and harmless to engine parts and components! Enjoy your motorcycle!
