Can I add Sea Foam to oil with 4k miles before my next oil change? [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a 2019 Chevy work truck with 60k miles. I just got an oil change. Is it ok if I add the recommended amount of Sea Foam Motor Treatment to the crank case even though I’m still 4k + miles out from an oil change?

Hey Eric – you can add Sea Foam to the oil at any point. The only reason we recommend adding it around 100-300 miles before your next oil change is so it has time to circulate, and so all the residue/deposits the Sea Foam has reliquefied can be drained away with the old oil (instead of circulating for all those miles before it’s changed).
That said, with a relatively newer/low mileage vehicle like your Chevy, adding it now would be fine.
