Can I use Sea Foam in premium gas? [SOLVED]

1 Answers

Can I use 1 bottle of Sea Foam Motor Treatment in my fuel tank if I just filled up my Jeep with premium gas? Also, will I need to change oil again if I use Sea Foam in my gas tank?

Thanks for the question, Ann.

Yes, you can add a can of Sea Foam to a tank of premium gas. It’s safe and effective in any type of gasoline. Here are a few helpful things to keep in mind about Sea Foam in your fuel:

  • It’s made from 100% safe petroleum cleaning and lubricating ingredients. It can’t harm engine parts or components. You don’t have to worry about messing anything up by adding “too much.”
  • The more Sea Foam Motor Treatment you add to fuel, the better it cleans (up to a point, of course). At a minimum, add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel. However, adding a full 16 oz can to a low tank (2-4 gallons) and driving until almost empty before refueling is a very good way to clean.
  • The oil and the gas don’t mix, so adding Sea Foam to one won’t impact the other. If you add Sea Foam to your fuel tank, you don’t have to change the oil because of the Sea Foam.

Bottom line: I’d wait until you have a low tank of fuel, add a full can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment, and drive until almost empty before refueling. That’s one of the best ways to use a can of Sea Foam.

Hope that helps!
