Can I use Trans Tune in a newly purchased 2017 Nissan Altima CVT that I know nothing about service history? [SOLVED]

Yes, you can use Trans Tune in your Altima’s CVT transmission. It won’t hurt anything, regardless of its service history. It will clean up any residues/varnish.

If you’re using it as a pre-flush cleaner, be sure to drive at least 30 miles before changing the fluid.

Otherwise, you can leave the Trans Tune in there for the life of the fluid. It will continue to clean and condition.
