Sea Foam High Mileage is not formulated for use in diesel engines. However, if you accidentally added some, it will not cause harm.

Hi Shyla – add at least 1 oz of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel in the tank for routine preventative maintenance. If you want a stronger cleaning concentration, add one or two full 16 oz cans to a low tank of fuel (5 gallons or less) and drive until almost empty before refueling. That works very well to clean.

Another popular way to use it is to prime diesel fuel filters:

In oil, add 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil.
