How to fix a ticking sound with Sea Foam [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I have added Sea Foam at different times to the oil. The ticking stops for a bit and then returns. Should I try adding to the fuel tank instead?

Hi Jon. One source of engine ticking is a sticky lifter caused by varnish residues in the oil. Adding Sea Foam to oil works to clean varnish in oil so will clean lifter springs and check valves, causing the noise to fade and go away. Curing the lifter noise might require treating the oil crankcase over several intervals. Considering your Jeep is a 2015, be aware that some newer fuel injectors make a rapid ticking noise, which is normal. In either case, adding Sea Foam to oil every interval will go a long way to help your engine last longer… Hope this helps!
