Is it okay to add Sea Foam to every fill up of my 1980 Porsche 928? [SOLVED]
I only use a tank of fuel every 2-3 months in my 1980 Porsche 928. Is it ok to add Sea Foam at every fill up?
Same question for my boat with 1997 Crusader 454 inboards, I always add 1 oz for each gallon of fuel when I fill up.
Hi George,
Thanks for the question! Yes, it is okay to add Sea Foam to every fill up of your Porsche’s gas tank. It will work to prevent fuel gum and varnish from forming while the vehicle sits, as well as keep your entire fuel system clean. It’s an easy way to prevent gum and varnish from forming while it’s not being used. There’s no downside to using it in every tank.
You can also add Sea Foam to every fill up for your Crusader. That’s a good plan and what Sea Foam recommends since boats often sit for longer periods of time, and the Sea Foam ensures that the fuel doesn’t degrade and gum and varnish don’t form while it sits. I’d also consider using Marine PRO, the marine version of Sea Foam. Either one will work, but Marine PRO comes in a larger 20 oz can and is a good cleaner.
Hope that helps and let me know if there’s anything else!
Best,
Conner
