Sea Foam and catalytic converters [SOLVED]
I have a 2010 Honda accord that has a check engine light that goes on and off. Last time it came on I took it to shop and they said it the code is for a bad converter or O2 sensor. I have seen someone take Sea Foam Spray and directly sprayed it into the catalytic converter. Would this clean the catalytic converter and possibly damage other items (O2 sensors, CAT)?
Sea Foam Motor Treatment, High Mileage and/or Sea Foam Spray are not designed to be introduced directly into the converter. Sea Foam products will not clean your converter directly. When added to fuel, what Sea Foam will do is clean internally and help reduce tailpipe emissions by burning cleaner. In fuel, Sea Foam products are O2 sensor and converter safe.
What year, make, and model is your vehicle?
