Should Sea Foam be added to oil at every oil change? [SOLVED]
Should Sea Foam be added to oil at every oil change? Thank you in advance.
Good question, Paul. In oil, Sea Foam reliquefies harmful residues and deposits that can restrict oil flow. The big benefit to adding Sea Foam at every oil interval is simply to help keep everything clean and prevent deposits from forming so your engine runs better and lasts longer. It’s a great way to keep your oil system as clean as possible. If you don’t add it to every oil change (which I’d recommend), add it at least once a year.
I’d recommend adding the Sea Foam 100-300 miles before you change your oil. That gives the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean, and allows you to drain away any crud that the Sea Foam reliquefied when you change the oil. Do not exceed 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil.
