What causes mower to bog down? [SOLVED]

What could cause my Troy Bilt push mower to idle low then high then back to low like it’s bogging itself down when I mow?

Great question Randy. Most likely, you have a stuck/dirty needle and seat or dirty fuel jet in the carb. Use a high concentration of Sea Foam Motor Treatment, 2-3 ounces per gallon of fuel. Run the mower for 5 minutes at idle, shut it off and let it hot soak for 10-15 minutes, then start the engine and use the mower. If you have a fuel system problem, you should see a difference in the first 10 minutes.
