What does it mean if my engine’s motor oil is milky brown? [SOLVED]

I just noticed that my truck’s motor oil is a milky brown color. Would adding Sea Foam to the crankcase help? Any other suggestions?

Hi Robert. Milky oil is an emulsion of water or engine coolant leaking into your crankcase. You should have your motor looked at for a gasket failure. Otherwise, an emulsion caused by a small amount of water will typically evaporate while running the engine (high engine heat will cause the water to vaporize into the atmosphere). In any case, Sea Foam won’t help with the milky oil.
