What to do if gasoline has been sitting your car for a year [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a GMC pickup truck with a 4.8 Vortex V8. I have a half a tank of gas that is 12 months old and wanted to know if Sea Foam would make it useable again.

Thanks for the question Don. Twelve-month-old fuel should be plenty volatile to run through your engine. What I would do: I would drive until you’re near empty with the old fuel, then add a can or two of Sea Foam with two or so gallons of fresh fuel. Then drive the truck for 20 miles on the mixture before adding more fuel. That way you have the old gas purged out, followed by a high concentration of Sea Foam working through the fuel system to clean away any gum/varnish residue that would have formed while the truck sat.
