Would Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the gas of a newer car be helpful for preventative maintenance? [SOLVED]
1 Answers
Been using High Mileage, Marine, fogging, and concentrate fuel injector treatment products on my motors. But I must say never used it in a newer one. I have a car that’s just reaching 50,000km , and would like to effectively take care of it and keep it running as long as it can with maintenance. What is your recommendation on it? Would a can of the regular Motor Treatment in a full tank of gas be helpful?

Thanks for the message, and for using Sea Foam over the years!
That’s a good idea to add Sea Foam to your preventative maintenance strategy. It will work to clean and prevent fuel residues and deposits.
I’d recommend doing the following about every 5,000-8,000 km:
Wait until the tank is low (1/4 -1/8 tank), add the whole can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment, and then drive for at least 10-20 miles before refueling. It’s safe to add a high concentration like that and it works very well for cleaning fuel residues and deposits.
You can also add Sea Foam to your oil. It will reliquefy heavier oil residues that form over time and keep everything clean. Add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per quart of oil in the crankcase. We recommend adding it 150-400km before your next oil change. That gives the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean, and it allows all the reliquefied oil residues to be drained away with the old oil.
Even though your car doesn’t have many miles yet, keep in mind that the High Mileage version is a little stronger cleaner than regular Motor Treatment if that would be desirable. Either one would work!
