SUMMARY
Every petroleum fluid system is prone to erratic and rough performance caused by gum, varnish, and moisture. Trans Tune works fast to dissolve harmful deposits and control the moisture that impairs fluid systems.
Trans Tune works in hydraulic fluid to clean sticky varnish from pressure valves and hydraulic pumps, and to help manage moisture in fluid. It’s safe for use in all types of petroleum-based hydraulic fluid and will not harm gaskets and O-rings or swell seals. Use as a conditioner or an excellent pre-flush cleaner!

HOW TO USE trans tune
Use Trans Tune as a pre-flush cleaner, a long-term fluid conditioner, or to quickly smooth out operational problems caused by varnish or moisture. Try adding Trans Tune to your hydraulic fluid – super easy!
RELATED QUESTIONS
Can I add a 16 oz can of Trans Tune to a full transmission 1998 Lincoln Navigator, or do I remove some fluid?
Thanks for the question!
As long as the transmission is not already overfilled, you can add the full 16 oz can directly to the transmission and you don’t have to drain any fluid. It will work to clean sticky residues and condition the transmission fluid for the life of the fluid.
If you’re using it as a pre-flush before changing the fluid, make sure to drive the vehicle for at least 30 miles to circulate the Trans Tune through the system.
Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

Sea Foam
Do I need to remove fluid from transmission before using Sea Foam Trans Tune?
Thanks for the question, David.
In most cases, no, you do not need to remove any transmission fluid before adding Sea Foam Trans Tune. As long as the transmission is not already overfilled, you can add a pint of Trans Tune directly to the transmission fluid. Just follow the directions on the can.
Can I use Sea Foam Trans Tune in a 2018 Nissan Rogue?
My transmission delays. Can I still use Trans Tune?
- If the cause of the shifting delay is buildup in the transmission, Trans Tune can help clean it up and restore smooth shifting. It’s an easy first thing to try.
- If the delay is caused by worn out parts or a mechanical problem, Trans Tune won’t fix it. However, if you try it and it doesn’t help, it does serve to rule out a buildup problem and can be helpful in diagnostics.
- If the issue is severe, we recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a reputable repair shop.
