Can you get the fuel injector cleaner in larger bottles?
Thanks for the question, John! No, unfortunately the 5 oz bottle is the only size we sell.
If you want to treat larger volumes of fuel to clean fuel injectors, we have a 20 oz Truck & SUV size can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment, as well as a 1 gallon jug. You can find both of those at an auto parts store.
If you’re trying to treat large fuel tanks, you could also use a high concentration of Sea Foam Motor Treatment in fuel. Sea Foam Motor Treatment works well to clean fuel injectors. The idea is to add a small amount of fuel (2-4 gallons) and a whole 16 oz can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment. Then, drive until it’s almost empty to give the Sea Foam a chance to clean. The high concentration will do a great job cleaning, and you don’t need to fill the entire tank and treat all the fuel in the tank.
Can I use Sea Foam Fuel Injector Cleaner if I have already put a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner in my gas tank?? It’s a 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0.
Can IC5 injector cleaner and Sea Foam gas engine treatment be used together?
Can I add 2 cans of IC5 Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner to my 2014 Chrysler 300 base model 3.6L?
Good question, Dario.
One bottle of IC5 Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner added to a ¼ would work fine if you wanted a strong cleaning concentration to clean injectors.
Here’s another thing to consider: if you want to really clean the entire fuel system, I’d add two cans of Sea Foam High Mileage to a quarter tank, and drive until almost empty before refueling. High Mileage cleans fuel injectors, plus anywhere else fuel goes, whereas IC5 is formulated just for injectors. High Mileage is a higher price point, but it’s the best cleaner that Sea Foam makes.
I put a 16 ounce can of Sea Foam and also put and also put in Sea Foam Injector Cleaner in 13 gallons of gas in my 2004 Chevy Silverado 5.3 and that filled my tank half full for my truck. I drove it 30 miles. Will that harm my engine doing that? Thank you. My engine is a 5.3 liter in my truck.
Hey Jacob,
Thanks for the question! It’s absolutely safe to add both Sea Foam Motor Treatment and IC5 Fuel Injector Cleaner to your gas tank at the same time. It won’t harm anything. I’d drive the truck normally until it’s almost empty before refueling.
Tip: I like to add a full 16oz can of Sea Foam to a low tank of gas (2-4 gallons) and then drive until almost empty before filling up the tank again. That allows the strong cleaning concentration time to work through the fuel system.
I have an old 5.7 Vortec with a rough idle. I suspect that the previous owner used gas with ethanol additive before parking the vehicle. Will Seafoam Injector Cleaner help dissolve any build up left by the ethanol blend fuel?
Hey Scott – good question! I’d use High Mileage Motor Treatment. That will do a great job cleaning the entire fuel system, including the injectors (whereas the IC5 Injector Cleaner is made just for injectors).
Add a full 16oz can of High Mileage to a low tank of gas (2-4 gallons) and then drive until almost empty before filling up the tank again. The high concentration will work to clean any residues or deposits.
