1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L – Sea Foam in fuel and oil [SOLVED]
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L I6.
How many cans should be used in fuel to clean the injectors?
How much for oil?
Where else can it be used on/in the Jeep?
Hi Jonathan. What I’m recommending are general approaches to using Sea Foam Motor Treatment (or High Mileage) in your Jeep’s fuel and oil, so 3 answers: 1) Fuel – get in the habit of adding a full can to fuel every couple months when your Jeep’s tank is low. Adding to a lower amount of fuel will create a greater concentration for cleaning the fuel injectors. 2) Oil – eyeball half a can into the oil crankcase every interval to clean away heavier varnish residues/deposits and improve oil flow. Easy! 3) Two times a year run a Sea Foam Spray treatment through the throttle body to clean the Jeep’s intake valves. Adding a can of Trans Tune to the transmission fluid each interval to clean up any sticky varnish that can potentially cause rough shifting. Those are the basics for a gas car or truck!
