Can I use Sea Foam in a two stroke engine for cleaning and storage? [SOLVED]
1 Answers
Is it safe for a two stroke engine such as a chainsaw or leaf blower? I would like to run a strong mixture with Sea Foam to clean as well as storage for the winter months. If so what is the best ratio for the mix?

Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the question! Yes, Sea Foam Motor Treatment is safe and effective in any gas or diesel engine, including your two strokes.
You can use up to a 1:2 ratio of Sea Foam to fuel. Here’s what I’d do:
- Add the Sea Foam to a small amount of fuel (8-16 oz of fuel).
- Run the engine for a few minutes to draw the treated fuel through the system.
- Let it soak overnight.
- Run it again for a few minutes before storing it for winter.
