Cleaning deposits with Sea Foam in oil [SOLVED] Asked by Donnie H. In Washington Can I add Sea Foam to the oil in my car to clean out deposits before I change the oil?
Yes! Sea Foam works very well to reliquefy deposits in your oil crankcase.
Here’s what I’d do:
Add 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil around 100-300 miles before your next oil change. That allows all the reliquefied deposits to drain away when you change your oil.
Keep adding Sea Foam at that 100-300 mile mark before your oil changes and it will progressively work to clean your crankcase and keep it that way.
