Do I have to drive right away after adding Sea Foam to the oil? [SOLVED]
Asked by Jim S. In Louisiana
Can I add Sea Foam Motor Treatment to the crankcase and let sit overnight and start driving the next day, or do I need to drive it immediately after adding?
Thanks for the question, Jim. Yes, you can leave the Sea Foam in the oil for as long as you want. You do not have to drive right away.
We recommend driving at least 100-300 miles with the Sea Foam in the oil before you change your oil. That way, it has a chance to clean things up as the oil circulates through the engine.
The important part is the distance. You can take as much time as you want to get to that mileage with the Sea Foam in the oil.
