Do I need to leave room for Sea Foam when adding fresh oil [SOLVED]
1 Answers
Since you are recommending one ounce of Sea Foam Motor Treatment per quart of oil, does that mean when I fill the crankcase with fresh oil I should leave some room for Sea Foam, or can I fill it to the factory recommended level then add the appropriate amount of Sea Foam? I don’t want to overfill the crankcase and cause more harm than good.

Good question, Frank. Most crankcases have plenty of capacity for an “extra” 5 ounces of fluid (or whatever amount you need to add to reach 1 oz per quart). You can fill it with the recommended amount of oil and then add the Sea Foam. That amount is perfectly fine.
