How much Sea Foam Motor Treatment for scooter sitting over winter [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a 2021 Vespa GTS 300cc Scooter that sat over winter with a 1/2 tank of fuel and I suspect there is mild water condensation from sitting gas. The tank is 9.10 Litres / 2.4 Gallons. How much Sea Foam Motor Treatment should I add to the tank before refilling?

Good question. Here’s what I’d do:
- drain the fuel tank
- for the first refill, you can add a full 16 oz can of Sea Foam and then fill the tank with fuel. Then run till almost empty before refueling. The high concentration of Sea Foam will help clean any residues that formed during storage. Adding a high concentration like that is the best/fastest way to clean up a fuel system. Since Sea Foam is made with 100% safe cleaning and lubricating petroleum ingredients, adding that amount is safe and effective.
- after that, 1 ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel in every tank will help keep your scooter running great and stabilize the fuel next time you store it (since the Sea Foam will already be in there)
Hope that helps!
