How much Sea Foam Motor Treatment to clean a gummed up fuel injector [SOLVED]

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and I’m sure the fuel injector is gummed up. How much Sea Foam Motor Treatment should I use if I have a full tank of gas?

Thanks for the question, Hunter.

Both Sea Foam Motor Treatment and IC5 will work to clean a gummed up fuel injector.

Here’s what I’d recommend for either product:

  • Drive until you have a low tank of fuel (1/4 tank or less)
  • Add a full can of Sea Foam
  • Drive at least 20 miles before refueling. That creates a high cleaning concentration of Sea Foam and gives it time to clean.

Note: IC5 only cleans fuel injectors; Sea Foam will clean and lubricate the entire fuel system.
