Removing oil sludge in a diesel [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a 2012 MB E350 BlueTEC diesel with 125K miles and I change the oil regularly every 5K miles but there is a lot of sludge. Will Sea Foam remove it without hurting the engine. If so, when do I put it in the crankcase and how long to I run the engine before changing the oil? Thanks!

Hey Warren – thanks for the question! Sea Foam won’t hurt the engine and it will help reliquefy the sludge so it can drain away when you change your oil.
If you think you have heavy oil sludge, add Sea Foam (1 oz per quart of oil) to your oil when you’re about 100 miles out from an oil change. Keep doing that at the end of every interval and you can progressively reliquefy the sludge back into the fluid oil.
