Sea Foam Spray in the oil crankcase while cleaning clutch plates [SOLVED]
Can I add Sea Foam Spray to crankcase? I have an old motorcycle that the clutch plates are stuck (will not disengage). I would like to be able to spray through an opening directly onto the plates, but this will put it in the engine oil. I do not know if the spray and the pour are the same formula.
That’s a really great question, Bob. Yes, it’s okay if Sea Foam Spray is added to the crankcase.
Whether you’re using Sea Foam Motor Treatment or Sea Foam Spray, you’ll want to avoid adding an “excessive” amount to oil. We recommend 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil.
In your case, you’ll be fine to spray the clutch plates with Sea Foam Spray.
Note to other readers: Use Sea Foam Motor Treatment or Sea Foam High Mileage if you are looking for an oil additive.
