Should I add Sea Foam regularly [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I have a 2000 V6 Mustang. It has 151,000 miles. Is Sea Foam Motor Treatment something I should add on the regular? I love my car and want to make sure it’s running smooth and keep it running.

Hi Heather – great question!
Sea Foam Motor Treatment works very well as regular preventative maintenance. It will keep critical engine parts clean and running strong. Every 3,000 miles or so is what we recommend.
I’m assuming you’re most interested in using Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the fuel, but here’s our recommended schedule for three applications for preventative maintenance:
- Add Sea Foam Motor Treatment to the fuel every 3,000 miles or so. High Mileage works great for this too (it’s a strong cleaner developed for higher mileage vehicles).
- Add Sea Foam Motor Treatment (or High Mileage) 100-300 miles before every oil change. More here…
- Lastly, a Sea Foam Spray treatment through the intake once or twice a year.
Hope that helps!
