The best way to clean the fuel and oil systems in your motorcycle [SOLVED]
I’m wanting to know which products would be best to use on my motorcycle. I have a 2009 Yamaha V-Star 1300 with 16,000 miles on it. I would like to clean the fuel and oil systems. Also, when is it best to add the product before doing an oil change? Thanks for your time.
Hi Richard. For a motorcycle you can use Sea Foam Motor Treatment to clean fuel and oil systems. Adding Sea Foam to your fuel tank will work to clean and lubricate the fuel passageways. For an occasional concentration (one or two times per year) you can simply add a whole can to your tank and ride. Then add at least one ounce per gallon for fuel maintenance. When adding to oil, we recommend adding 100 to 300 miles before each oil change interval. You can also use Sea Foam Spray through the intake to clean the upper engine at least once a year and for fogging intakes and cylinders (if you store the motorcycle).
