Trans Tune in mower hydraulic system with water in it [SOLVED]
How much Trans Tune should be used for a hydraulic system with water in it on a zero turn mower? It takes about 2.4qts of hydraulic fluid. Should I change the fluid out first then put Trans Tune in, or add it to the old fluid and then flush?
I’d start by draining and refilling the system with fresh fluid and then adding about 4-6 ounces of Trans Tune. Use the mower as you normally would for 45-60 minutes. After 45-60 minutes of use, drain the fluid, refill with fresh fluid and 4-6 ounces of Trans Tune again. Going forward, keep an eye on the fluid condition. Based on the amount of water in the system, it may take more than one treatment of Trans Tune to 100% alleviate the water/fluid problem. Trans Tune can be left in the hydraulic fluid on the mower for the life of the fluid.
