Using Sea Foam in a RV with a generator [SOLVED]
I have a 2017 motorhome. It is on a Chevy Express 1400 chassis with a Vortec gasoline engine. We also have a generator mounted on the RV. Both engines use fuel from the same gas tank, it is a 55 gallon tank.
Which Sea Foam product if any would work on both engines and how many cans for the 55 gallon tank?
Thanks.
Hi Argyle. Here’s what I would do for treating your RV engine and generator: Use Sea Foam Motor Treatment or High Mileage in the RV fuel tank. However, don’t think about treating a full tank, but treating a low tank. You will get a much higher cleaning concentration by adding 2 or 3 cans to a low tank of fuel than to add to 55 gallons. So start a habit of adding Sea Foam when the tank is low, then drive at least 20 miles with the high concentration before filling the tank. For your generator, this is a great tip for treating your generator once a year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6JEiGbR01A
Hope this helps!
