Using Sea Foam in engine oil [SOLVED]
Can Sea Foam be put in the motor oil?
Hi Ilyssa,
Yes, the two biggest uses of Sea Foam Motor Treatment are for cleaning fuel systems and oil systems. We recommend adding half a can to car and truck oil crankcases (most are 5 or 6 quart systems). Sea Foam will work to reliquefy heavier oil residues back into the liquid oil phase so all the crud can drain away each time the oil is changed. Hope this helps!
Can I add Sea Foam to the oil every time when doing an oil change, or add Sea Foam at specific time before changing the oil?
That’s a great question Edgar. As long as you have Sea Foam in the oil for at least 100 miles of driving it will do its job. You can add to new oil, can add any time during the interval, or wait until you have 100 to 300 miles to go before an oil change. The key is to have Sea Foam mixed in your oil long enough to circulate at clean!
