Using Sea Foam in oil in a Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0 [SOLVED]
Jim: I got a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0 6 cyl. with a little over 180k miles. My Jeep still has good oil pressure and still pulls hard but it sounds like a freakin diesel. A Jasper rebuilt is around $4600 but someone suggested trying Sea Foam first. I use Sea Foam in the gas of all my vehicles but I’ve never used it in any other form. You got any suggestion on which one of your products to use and how? Thanks, Jim. LOVE your products
Hey Wayne. I am going to suppose that the noise you’re referring to is lifter noise. Start adding half a can of Sea Foam High Mileage to your oil crankcase every interval. It will work to clean away the varnish that’s causing the lifters to stick and make noise, plus it will continually work to clean oil petroleum residue and deposits from the crankcase. You can’t get started soon enough! Let us know what happens.
