When added to an engine’s oil crankcase, Sea Foam Motor Treatment works to clean and liquefy heavier oil deposits, so the residues will drain away when the oil is changed.
It’s safe to leave Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the oil until your next oil change.
We recommend adding it 100-300 miles before your next oil change. That gives the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean. It also lets you drain away all the reliquefied crud (residues and deposits) when you change your oil.
Add 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil in the crankcase. Do not exceed this ratio.
