What is the difference between Sea Foam Spray and Motor Treatment? [SOLVED]
Is Sea Foam Spray the same product as Sea Foam Motor Treatment that you normally pour in the tank?
Thanks for the question James. The answer is yes, kind of. Sea Foam Spray is an aerosol version of Sea Foam Motor Treatment. Though the ingredients are the same, each is blended differently. Sea Foam Motor Treatment works great when added to either gas or diesel fuel and oil systems. Sea Foam Spray is more specialized for use in gasoline engine intakes and particularly effective for cleaning intake valves.
Can I pour equal amounts of Sea Foam Motor Treatment directly into the cylinder and let it soak for a few days to dissolve and loosen carbon build up on the piston rings? I used the spray, but I had to spray the entire can into a glass jar so that I could use equal amounts in each of the six cylinders.
Yes, you can use Sea Foam Motor Treatment for that. Here’s a similar question thread with a whole bunch of comments that might be helpful:
