When to use Sea Foam Motor Treatment in oil in a Chevy Tahoe [SOLVED]
1 Answers
I am about 3,000 miles from an oil change. Can I put Sea Foam in now and keep it in for 3,000 miles or should I wait until about 200 miles prior to the oil change?
My truck is a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8 with about 190,000 miles.

Hi Tom. Even though we recommend adding Sea Foam 100 to 300 miles before each oil change, you can add it for the duration of a 3,000 mile interval. If it’s your first time adding to your Tahoe, go ahead and add it now if you wish, then be sure to add it each interval to progressively clean the crankcase. Sea Foam works in oil to liquefy heavy oil residues so they can drain away when replacing oil. Thanks for using Sea Foam!
