Will Sea Foam clean fuel tank sensors? [SOLVED]
Will Sea Foam clean fuel tank sensors?
Thanks for the question, Jim. If you’re asking about a stuck fuel level sensor, here’s what I’ll say:
A stuck fuel level sensor is not something that we claim Sea Foam High Mileage or Motor Treatment can fix (at least consistently). However, some people have reported using Sea Foam to fix their stuck fuel level sensor problems. Sea Foam does a very good job cleaning fuel gum, varnish, and residues, etc., so if it is physically stuck or having trouble because of something like that, there’s a chance it could fix the problem.
Idea: try adding a full can of Sea Foam High Mileage to a low tank (1/8-1/4 or so) of fuel. The high concentration of Sea Foam High Mileage works very well to clean. It’s a great way to make the most out of a can.
Of course, if the fuel level sensor is faulty electrically or broken physically, Sea Foam won’t help with that.
Hope that helps and let me know if you were asking about something else!
