Will Sea Foam clean the injector in my 2001 Honda 450xl quad? [SOLVED]
Will Sea Foam added to my 2001 Honda 450xl quad clean the injector without riding , i.e. idling at a higher than normal idle?
Thanks for the question, Terry. As long as the treated fuel is going through the injector, Sea Foam will clean it. To get the greatest cleaning power, I’d add a high cleaning dosage of High Mileage Motor Treatment to a small amount of fuel. Add a full 16 oz can of High Mileage to the fuel tank (you can add up to a 1:2 ratio of Sea Foam to gas. You can add less than a 16 oz can if you’ve only got a little bit of fuel in the tank to hit that 1:2 ratio. A full can is easiest though and works well.)
After you add the High Mileage, make sure you run/idle it for a while to give the it a chance to make it through the fuel system and clean. Use up that entire tank of treated fuel before adding fresh gas.
