Will Sea Foam High Mileage clog the catalytic converter or cause smoke? [SOLVED]
I used the high mileage in my oil and in my gas, in a 2016 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L. I did notice some improved acceleration, smoother driving, however I literally had no signs of smoke in the exhaust like in the videos I’ve seen of people putting the regular treatment in their vehicles. Just Curious with New makes and models could there be an issue with say clogging up the catalytic converter or something? Or is it the seafoam spray into the intake that will smoke a lot? Maybe it’s not as Dirty as I expected.
Thanks for the question, Rye!
High Mileage can’t harm the catalytic converter or any other parts or components. It’s made with 100% safe petroleum cleaning and lubricating ingredients, and it is used up long before it reaches the catalytic converter.
High Mileage in the gas and oil would not cause smoke. When Sea Foam Spray is applied through the intake, it does not burn in the chamber with the gasoline, so it is emitted out the tailpipe as a white vaporized oil. The white smoke is the vaporization of the Sea Foam Spray being pushed out the exhaust.
Hope that helps and let me know if there’s anything else!
