Will Sea Foam Motor Treatment clean out a fuel pickup tube? [SOLVED]

Sea Foam Motor Treatment or Sea Foam High Mileage will dissolve any gum or varnish residues that are restricting flow on a sock or screen of a fuel pickup tube. If the pickup is dirty with debris (dirt, rust, etc.), Sea Foam is unfortunately not going to be effective.

The level of contamination will determine how much Sea Foam to use. If you only want to clean the tank/pickup, use 2-3 ounces of Sea Foam per gallon of gasoline. If you believe that the tank/pickup is extremely dirty, use 5-6 ounces per gallon of fuel. I like to pour a full 16 oz can of High Mileage in a low tank (2-4 gallons of fuel), and then drive until almost empty before refueling. The high concentration does a great job cleaning.
