Good question. 16 oz of Trans Tune isn’t a ton when you think about the overall capacity of most transmissions (which are often 3-6 quarts). Most transmissions have plenty of room for 16 oz without pushing them over capacity. Just make sure the transmission is not overfilled. You can check it again after you add the Trans Tune.
Some people do drain 16 oz of transmission fluid before adding Trans Tune for some extra peace of mind. A turkey baster works well for this.
