Smooth Your Rough Engine Idle

The Rough Idle Problem

As your car or truck gets older and accumulates miles, you might notice that it doesn’t fire up and idle as well as it used to. Maybe you’re experiencing hard starts, or your car seems to run rough at idle, or it dies easily or intermittently after startup. There are many possible reasons for these problems, but one common culprit is a dirty fuel system.

The Sea Foam Solution

Sea Foam High Mileage is specially formulated for vehicles with 75,000 miles or more—those at the greatest risk for engine idle problems. High Mileage added to your gas tank will clear up fuel injectors clogged by years of residue buildup, while also cleaning your entire fuel system of harmful deposits that can harm performance.

If your vehicle has been sitting unused for a long period of time, fuel evaporation and degraded fuel might also be a reason for idle issues.

Beyond servicing your fuel system, High Mileage can be used in your crankcase to reliquefy and clean away heavier oil residues, reduce long-term wear, and prevent common causes of oil burn.

How to Use It

Add a full can or two of Sea Foam High Mileage to a low tank of fuel (1/8th a tank) and drive for roughly 20 miles. The higher the concentration, the better it will work. Remember that High Mileage is petroleum-based and won’t harm your engine. To use High Mileage in your oil, add a half can to your crankcase 100 to 300 miles before each oil change.

Simply put, adding High Mileage to your fuel and oil regularly will help ensure a smooth-running engine and strong long-term performance for your car or truck.
