SUMMARY
Sea Foam Motor Treatment can be used in every type of gasoline or diesel engine. When added to an engine’s oil crankcase, Sea Foam Motor Treatment works to clean and liquefy heavier oil deposits, so the residues will drain away when the oil is changed. Sea Foam cleans internal engine parts, prevents sludge and other harmful oil formations.

Can I use Sea Foam on a 2016 Dodge Ram with over 100,000 miles?
Yes, you can use Sea Foam Motor Treatment. It’s safe and effective in a 2016 Dodge Ram with that mileage. Just follow the instructions on the can.
Here’s a little more info on how to use it:
- Sea Foam Motor Treatment in fuel. I like to wait until the tank is low (1/4 -1/8 tank), add the whole 16 oz can, and then drive for at least 10-20 miles before refueling. It’s safe to add a high concentration like that and it works very well for cleaning fuel residues and deposits.
- Sea Foam Motor Treatment in oil. Add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per quart of oil in the crankcase. We recommend adding it 100-300 miles before your next oil change. That gives the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean, and it allows all the reliquefied oil residues to be drained away with the old oil.
You could also try High Mileage Motor Treatment. It’s made specifically for stubborn residues and deposits in higher-mileage vehicles. It’s a great cleaner!

Can I add Sea Foam in gravel zero turn oil? And how long do I leave in there?
Good question. Yes, you can add Sea Foam Motor Treatment to the oil. Add 1 ounce per quart of oil. We recommend adding it shortly before you change the oil. Just make sure you run it like normal a few times with the Sea Foam in the oil to give it time to circulate and clean. If you don’t have an oil change coming up, you can leave it in there until the next regularly scheduled oil change. It won’t hurt anything.
