SUMMARY
Sea Foam Spray is a blend of cleaning and lubricating petroleum ingredients that can be used SAFELY in all types of 2 and 4 stroke gasoline engines. Especially important for modern GDI engines, it cleans critical upper engine areas where fuel cleaners can’t reach.
Apply Sea Foam Spray through fuel injection throttle bodies to clean harmful engine deposits from intake valves and combustion chamber areas. Use Sea Foam Spray to fog engines and coat spark plug cavities to protect your engine during storage.
Sea Foam Spray does NOT contain harsh detergent or abrasive chemicals that can harm your engine or fuel system components. Help your engine run cleaner and last longer!

Can Deep Creep be used for carbon cleaning an engine?
Can I use the Sea Foam Spray in my gas tank?
Thanks for the question!
First, you can use Sea Foam Spray in your gas tank. It will act similarly to pouring Sea Foam in your gas tank and won’t hurt anything.
I’d apply the Sea Foam Spray through your air intake, though, as that is a much more cost effective way to use it. It will clean intake valve areas that a fuel additive in the gas tank can’t reach.
If you’d still like to use it in the gas tank, it’s safe and will work similarly to Sea Foam Motor Treatment.
I have a 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It runs high at times. Is it best not to spray a carburetor cleaner in it vs using sea foam in the tank?
Thanks for the question, Donald. My recommendation would be to use Sea Foam Spray through the carb and Sea Foam Motor Treatment or High Mileage in the fuel tank. If the engine still has a tendency to idle high sometimes, I’d recommend having a mechanic look at the carb. It would be a simple choke adjustment.
After using the Motor Treatment and Spray on the top engine, do you recommend changing the engine oil and oil filter afterwards?
Thanks for the question! No, you do not need to change the oil or oil filter after using Sea Foam Spray through the top end or Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the fuel.
If using Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the oil crankcase, we recommend adding it 100-300 miles before an oil change.
Is Sea Foam in a spray can the same as the liquid one with a screw cap ?
Thanks for the question! Sea Foam Spray is an aerosol version of Sea Foam Motor Treatment (the liquid can with the screw cap). It’s designed for application through the air intake to clean intake valves and critical upper engine areas where a fuel additive can’t reach.
