Adding Sea Foam to bad fuel [SOLVED]

Hello. I have a little over a half a tank of gas in my 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 4.8. Can can I pour Sea Foam in it because I think I got some bad gas with water in the tank?

Hi Kayo. Sea Foam works great to help diagnose or overcome fuel-related problems so yes, try it! After adding a can now, add another can when your tank is down to 1/8th and drive a bit with a higher cleaning concentration. The key is to work through the bad fuel while noting that water won’t cause harm, it just causes the engine to run rough until you burn through it. If you can run flex fuel, add a quarter tank after you add the 2nd can of Sea Foam to a low tank, the high volume of ethanol will help solubilize water contamination.
