Can I add Sea Foam to a full 60 gallon tank of gas in my boat? [SOLVED]
I have a full 60 gallon tank of gasoline in my boat. Can I add Sea Foam to the full tank?
Hi Charles,
Thanks for the question! Yes, you can add Sea Foam Motor Treatment to your 60 gallon tank. Add 1 ounce per gallon of fuel. You can get 1 gallon jugs of Sea Foam Motor Treatment at most auto parts stores. Adding it to a full tank of fuel will prevent the fuel from degrading and prevent gum and varnish from forming while it sits. It’ll also clean and lubricate the entire fuel system. It’s a good preventative maintenance measure for every tank and a good way to keep the engine running well and prevent problems.
If you want to run a strong cleaning concentration periodically, wait until you have a low tank of fuel (1/8 tank or so) and add three or four 16 oz cans of Sea Foam. Run it for at least 20 minutes if you can (just don’t run out of fuel) to give the treated fuel a chance to clean.
Hope that helps and let me know if you have any questions!
Best,
Conner
