Can I use Sea Foam for oil burning in a 2015 Mitsubishi? [SOLVED]

I have a 2015 Mitsubishi cy lancer that is not smoking, doesn’t have any oil leaks, but is continuously burning oil. Can I use Sea Foam for this and how much should I apply?

Thanks for the question, Shawn.
Yes, Sea Foam may help reduce oil burning if the problem is caused by oil residues and deposits around the piston rings. Over time, these deposits can cause the oil control rings to stick, allowing more oil to enter the combustion chamber and burn off.
I’d recommend using High Mileage Sea Foam Motor Treatment.
Add 1 oz of High Mileage per quart of oil in the crankcase, about 100–300 miles before your next oil change. Then drive normally and change the oil and filter. It might take a few treatments. (note: just don’t exceed 1 oz of High Mileage per quart of oil).
High Mileage works to reliquefy oil residues and deposits throughout the crankcase, including around the piston rings. If deposits are causing the rings to stick, cleaning them may help reduce oil consumption.
Keep in mind that Sea Foam won’t repair worn piston rings, valve seals, or other mechanical problems that can cause oil consumption. Here’s an article on our site that talks more about oil burning and the different things that cause it:
