How much Sea Foam in a 0.6 gallon snowblower fuel tank? [SOLVED]
I just bought a new Husqvarna ST224 snowblower, with a 0.6 gal fuel tank. Thinking I should use about 0.6 oz of Sea Foam each time I fill?
Hi Rick,
Thanks for the question!
Yes, you’re on the right track! For your new Husqvarna snowblower, I’d recommend using about 1–2 oz of Sea Foam Motor Treatment per gallon of gasoline for regular preventative maintenance.
Here’s what I’d do: simply eyeball 1-2 oz of Sea Foam every time you fill up the snowblower tank. There’s no need to measure it exactly. You can safely add a lot of Sea Foam to gas. For example, while it’s unnecessary to add this much for regular preventative maintenance, it’s possible to use up to a 1:2 ratio of Sea Foam to gas for a strong cleaning dose. So don’t worry about using too much or being precise. Make it easy for yourself and just pour some in.
Sea Foam will help keep the carburetor and fuel system clean and prevent fuel gum and varnish from forming, which is especially important for seasonal equipment like snowblowers.
It will also help stabilize the fuel during storage. Just make sure to run the engine for a few minutes after adding treated fuel so it circulates throughout the fuel system.
Alternatively, if you keep gas in a gas can in your garage, just dump 1-2 oz of Sea Foam per gallon of gas into the gas can and you’re good to go.
