Yes, Trans Tune is compatible with MERCON LV, and it’s okay to use in the automatic transmission in your 2017 Ford Escape.
You do not need to drain Trans Tune out after a certain amount of time. It’s made to remain in the transmission for the life of the fluid. It will continue to help clean sticky residues and condition the fluid as you drive.
When it’s time for your next normal transmission fluid service, simply drain the Trans Tune out along with the old fluid and refill with the manufacturer-recommended fluid.
