Fixing a hard shift with Trans Tune on a Ponitac Vibe [SOLVED]
Asked by Kurt H. In Alabama
If I use Trans Tune as a cleaner and then do a fluid drain do I also need to change the filter? I’m getting a hard first shift and I was told that it’s a sticky valve or solenoid. Car is a 2009 Pontiac Vibe four-cylinder automatic. After the drain I planned on using a second can as a conditioner
Thanks for the question Kurt. No need to change the filter if newer/not necessary. Seems you have the right approach if you’re dealing with fluid varnish. Go ahead and add a can of Trans Tune now, then drive at least 100 miles before changing the fluid. Then add another can to the new fluid. Hope it works out for you!
