If you’re looking to solve a problem with Sea Foam in the fuel tank, it depends on what you’re hoping to accomplish.
Sea Foam will clean and lubricate wherever it is in the fuel system.
For most problems that can be solved with Sea Foam in the gas tank (like a rough idle or loss of power due to fuel residues, deposits, etc…), add a full can of Sea Foam to a low tank of fuel (1/8 tank or so in a car or truck) and run it until almost empty before refueling. The Sea Foam will clean and lubricate as it goes through the fuel system. Some problems will get better within that first tank of Sea Foam-treated fuel. Some problems require adding Sea Foam to a few tanks in a row.

Hi Michael,

Hope that helps!
