How much ATF does a can of Trans Tune treat? [SOLVED]
Asked by Thomas L. In Iowa
Hi, hope you’re doing well!
I was wondering how much AT fluid can a bottle of Trans Tune treat? My 02 Crown Vic has an AT fluid capacity of 14 quarts. Was wondering if it’s enough to treat that much fluid.
I’m also wondering if Trans Tune would help with transmission shudder?
Thank you very much!
Hey Thomas – thanks for the question! 1 can of Trans Tune is enough to treat 14 quarts of transmission fluid. Simply add a full can of Trans Tune to the AT fluid. There’s no need to drain anything before adding as long as the fluid isn’t overfilled already.
It depends on what the cause of transmission shudder is, but if it’s related to varnish/residue that’s causing the shudder, Trans Tune will help overcome it. Either way, it’s definitely worth a shot and will help the transmission’s performance.
